Tracks how news sentiment is trending over time across any source, aggregated by major US stock indexes like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq
How is index-level sentiment calculated?
Index sentiment is the composite news sentiment across all stocks within the given index. For example, NASDAQ sentiment is the composite sentiment expressed about any stock in the NASDAQ average over a given day, weighted by market cap.
What does the index sentiment graph show?
The index sentiment graph shows both the index's price over the most-recent 30-day period, and the index's overall daily mention volume over the period. The color of each of the daily mention volume bars represents the composite sentiment expressed about stocks in the index on that day.
